Your donation can buy food for hungry children in Africa, food for the hungry in America, in poor communities, education to prevent gun violence, tree planting, Opioid and Substance Abuse educational Outreach, Evangelism, career development programs, disaster relief, etc. Your donation is tax deductible according to Federal law.   

Crime in Shelby County:

The crime rate in Memphis & Shelby county is higher than the national average coupled with high drug abuse especially among minority groups. Lighthouse Angels’ desire is to help reduce violent crime and dangerous drugs in our community through Biblical and other strategic interventions. Our goal is to improve safety and promote a healthy community of families, youth, children and the public. at large.

Hunger in Africa:

Most children in Africa go to sleep everyday hungry due to poverty, drought, famine, war, and lack of resources. Lighthouse Angels is working to provide needed food to some parts of Africa though out volunteers there. Your gift of ten dollars ($10.00) will provide food for twenty children for one week. As Christian Stewarts, we pledge every penny donated will go towards the cause.

Opioid & Substance Abuse:

Lighthouse Angels, Inc proposes to implement a comprehensive
prevention, educational and treatment referral program for individuals struggling with opioid use disorder (OUD) and substance use disorder (SUD). This program will form partnership with medical providers and educate providers on evidence-based practices, reduce opioid prescription use for pain management, reduce dependency, and increase referrals to strengthen patients’ connection to primary care and community-based resources for treatment and social services. The Opioid Reduction Educational Outreach will locate opioid abusers and place them in our mentoring and coaching program to lead a life free of opioid addiction.

In the United States, drug-use disorders have accounted for the greatest increase in deaths and
years of life lost between 1990 and 2021 The largest portion of these deaths results from the
ingestion of prescription and illicit opioids, exceeding the number of people dying in car
accidents. The Program answers the compelling call for action around Opioid Use Disorder in the
City of Memphis and Shelby County area. According to the Memphis Shelby County Health Department, two of the top three concerns regarding risky behaviors impacting quality of
life in Shelby County are related to substance use and abuse among adolescents.

Africa & Other Third world Countries:

Many people in Africa and
other third world countries & refugees live in extreme poverty. The most vulnerable
among them are so poor that they can’t engage in activities from most regular
livelihood programs. They are  short of basic know-how and lack of
confidence in their abilities (UNHCR). Additionally, most children to bed
hungry everyday due to various economic, political and social issues. All this
makes escaping extreme poverty even harder. To alleviate or minimize poverty,
Lighthouse Angels strategy is to offer a personalized and customized response
to individual needs. Poverty is widespread. An
estimated 51 per cent of the population lives in rural areas where poverty is
heavily concentrated. Many lack access to basic infrastructure and social
services. Our priority is to feed the hungry children and ultimately, the whole
family. Your generous donation will do just that.
